Cubs prospect blasts home run after being thrown at

Pete Crow-Armstrong hit what has to be the most satisfying home run of the season.

On Friday, Crow-Armstrong was facing former MLB pitcher Wily Peralta in a Triple-A game between PCA’s Iowa Cubs and Peralta’s Indianapolis Indians. Crow-Armstrong, who was a first-round pick by the Chicago Cubs in 2020, had been having a big series against Indianapolis with six hits and two home runs in the prior three games. Perhaps Peralta wanted to send a message to Crow-Armstrong, because he threw at the 22-year-old outfielder twice.

Crow-Armstrong’s manager Marty Pevey was ejected for defending his player. Then on the next pitch, Crow-Armstrong blasted a home run to right field.
