Hey! Did you know that former MLB outfielder Jayson Werth — who played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals and has a World Series ring from 2008 — is a Kentucky Derby horse owner?

Well, co-owner. He’s got Dornoch running in the 2024 edition of the Run For the Roses, and he’s rightfully nervous.

Per MLB.com, while on with the MLB Network: “I never stressed out, I never worried about one [baseball] game as long as I lived. Coming into a horse race, it’s like, I’m a nervous wreck.”

According to the Associated Press, he owns shares of over a dozen of horses with his stable Two Eight Racing (because he wore No. 28 during his career).
