While hype and anticipation for EA Sports’ newest release are trending toward an all-time high, Monday’s release did not come without some issues.
Multiple users in Ultimate Team mode saw that one player from the Iowa Hawkeyes was listed among athletes from the Big 12 Conference in the Big 12 card pack.
Upon loading into College Football Ultimate Team for the first time, players who pre-ordered the game received a pack from a specific conference featuring one player from each team in the league. However, in the case of Big 12 fans who elected to receive a pack from their favorite conference, they were greeted with an extra team to choose from.
Iowa’s junior offensive lineman Mason Richman was joined by members of the Big 12 Conference, including Kansas State’s Quentin Rice, Baylor’s Caden Jenkins, UCF’s KJ Jefferson, BYU’s Jakob Robinson, and many more.
While the inclusion of an Iowa Hawkeye among members of the Big 12 isn’t much outside of some funny optics and a chuckle, Richman’s addition to the Big 12 pack was definitely an interesting talking point.
Despite some small glitches and bugs, EA Sports College Football 25 is an incredible saving grace for members of the college football video game community looking to claim some fame with their favorite team.
