Queens Park Rangers vs Millwall (12:30)

QPR and Millwall have both only won once in the Championship to date this season, but while the R’s have also suffered just a solitary league defeat, the Lions have been beaten three times and have failed to score in three of their last four across all competitions.

Since losing on the opening weekend of the season to league pacesetters West Brom, QPR have gone four unbeaten in the league and have taken points off both Sheffield United and Luton – beating the latter on the road 2-1.

Marti Cifuentes’ side were 2-0 winners over Millwall in last season’s corresponding fixture and they should have more than enough to see off Neil Harris’ rather toothless Lions.

Rotherham United vs Birmingham City (15:00)

Birmingham have underlined their credentials as the team to beat in League One after taking 13 points from their opening five games, including Monday’s 3-1 success over Wrexham in front of the TV cameras.

Chris Davies will want to ensure that his side do not rest on their laurels after the glitz and glamour that came with that 3-1 success and the Blues face a difficult trip to another of the pre-season promotion favourites in Rotherham.

However, the Millers are yet to get going this season, winning just once in six league games, and they may find the going tough against a Birmingham side that have only lost one of the last 11 meetings between the two teams.

Accrington Stanley vs Port Vale (12:30)

It has not been a strong start to the season for Accrington Stanley, who are one of two sides yet to register a win in League Two, taking just two points from their six games, while they have also lost both of their cup matches.

This is nothing new for John Doolan’s side, however, as Stanley have lost seven of their last 10 league matches – a run that dates back to early April – and things may not get any better when an improving Port Vale visit the Wham Stadium.

Darren Moore’s visitors are seeking a third victory on the bounce and they put four past Newport in their most recent away fixture. The Valiants appear to have found their feet after last season’s relegation and should have too much for their labouring hosts.

Barrow vs Newport County (15:00)

Barrow are riding high in the automatic promotion positions in League Two and they have an EFL Cup third-round tie at Chelsea to look forward to next week, but that should not distract them from the task at hand against Newport.

The Exiles have lost back-to-back league games to Port Vale and Swindon, shipping four in both of those matches, while they have lost six of their last seven away games in League Two, a run that started with a 1-0 defeat at Barrow in March.

This should be a routine victory for Stephen Clemence’s in-form hosts and with the top two – Notts County and Gillingham – facing each other, the Bluebirds could even end the day sitting top of the pile.
