Former Wyoming defensive lineman, popular late transfer portal entrant Gavin Meyer zeroing in on four schools

A popular late entrant to the transfer portal has zeroed in on four teams that he’s considering as transfer options.

Former Wyoming defensive lineman Gavin Meyer has trimmed his list of considerations to USC, Cal, Wisconsin and Illinois, his agent Miles Jordan tells 247Sports.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Wisconsin native already has visits planned to USC and Cal.

Pro Football Focus had Meyer with the third-highest grade among Mountain West interior defenders last season as well as the third-highest pass rush grade among Mountain West interior defenders.

Meyer, a two-year starter at Wyoming, finished last year with 26 tackles and 3.5 tackles for a loss as he helped the Cowboys finish 9-4 and second in the conference in scoring defense. He accumulated 40 tackles and four sacks in 2022.
