The 8th event on the PGA TOUR Champions saw a fitting end when Stephen Ames clinched a hard-earned victory at TPC Sugarloaf. Now, the senior golfing circuit moves to Texas, where the world will witness the 2024 Insperity Invitational, which kicks off on May 3. Consequently, the fans will also be naturally excited to watch the same as well as spot Steven Alker trying to defend his title of champion.
The event is, thus, bound to be an epic showcase of talent and as a result of the same, many will want to witness the golfing spectacle in person at the Woodlands CC. However, the fans can also choose to stay at home and catch the action live from the comfort of their homes!

Aside from Alker, Bernhard Langer will be teeing it up after recovering from surgery that repaired his torn Achilles. His followers will, surely, hope to catch the four-time Insperity Invitational champ’s 16th start at the event and can do so on Golf Channel from May 3, Friday for the first round, till May 5, Sunday, for the final round.
The Friday broadcast of the first day will start at 12:30 P.M. ET and end at 3:30 P.M. ET on the network. However, for the next two days, there will be a slight change in the timings. The Saturday and Sunday broadcasts of rounds two and three, respectively, will start at 3:00 P.M. ET and end at 6:00 P.M. ET on Golf Channel.

If one’s preference is to witness the golf up close just outside the ropes at the Insperity Invitational, then there is much to be happy about. The event will be open to the public and will continue its longtime tradition of offering Free General Grounds Admission to everyone from Friday to Sunday while offering a complimentary gift item for the first 1000 spectators. But it will be closed to the fans on Monday and Tuesday. The spectators will be able to watch their favorite golfers up close during the event.

Apart from the past champions, there will also be many legends lining up for a shot at the title and the trophy in the field. Moreover, from Ernie Els to Retief Goosen to 5-time PGA TOUR Champions winner Vijay Singh, a total of six Hall of Famers will be vying for the same.

“The Woodlands is unbelievable,” admitted Ernie Els before continuing to dish out praises for the iconic course. He also expressed his exhilaration as he said, “They have hosted this event here on the PGA TOUR Champions for so long, so I’m always excited to play there. This is a very mature golf course.” It seems the golfing world is all set for an exciting display of golf this week at the 2024 Insperity Invitational in Texas.
