The Hudson Valley Renegades, High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees in the South Atlantic League, commemorated National Golden Retriever Day today by unveiling as alternate identity devoted to the dog breed.
The logo, which the team will wear three times in 2025, features a cartoon dog playing with a baseball. A script wordmark features a golden retriever’s tail as part of the letter “R”, with a heart dotting the i—”a symbol of the love of dogs that billions around the world have,” per the team.
The team has named the dog character Bella, a tribute to Bella Hubmaster, the Renegades’ original groundskeeping dog, who debuted in 1999.
The Retrievers identity will debut Sunday, June 15—Father’s Day—against the Greenville Drive. As with all Sunday Renegades games, fans are allowed to bring their own dogs.
