This hasn’t been the craziest or most active free agency period for the NBA, but there are still a couple of intriguing players who could be available on the trade market if the price is right.

One of them is forward Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards, who has taken his game to the next level over the last couple of years.

Per Evan Sidery, the Wizards are asking for two first-round draft picks in return for Kuzma.

Sidery also mentioned that the Sacramento Kings are a team that is interested in swinging a trade for Kuzma.

The Kings have been a playoff team over the last two years, but despite possessing two bona fide stars in guard De’Aaron Fox and center Domantas Sabonis, they do need another significant piece or two to become a major power.

Kuzma established career-highs with 22.2 points and 4.2 assists a game on 46.3 percent shooting this past season, and while he isn’t a good 3-point shooter, he has become a legitimate scoring threat.

The Wizards finished with a 15-67 record during the 2023-24 season, which was just one win better than the worst record in the NBA, which was held by the Detroit Pistons, and Kuzma’s contract situation may make it advantageous for them to deal him.

He is under contract for three more years, and he will make $23.5 million this coming season.

Washington has gotten rid of a number of viable players over the past handful of months, including Rui Hachimura and Bradley Beal, and perhaps Kuzma will be next.
