The Detroit Lions are becoming one of the best teams in the NFL.
That is obvious after the franchise made their first NFC Championship appearance since 1991.
Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff just inked a fresh four-year extension worth $212 million.
While recently speaking to the media, he had a message for Lions fans.
According to The Athletic’s Colton Pouncy, Goff said that he’s “more driven and fired up than ever to bring a Super Bowl to Detroit.”

Head coach Dan Campbell and Goff have turned the fortunes of the Lions around in just three seasons.
In 2021, after Goff was traded, the Lions won just three games.
Then, they went 9-8 and nearly made the playoffs.
Last season, the Lions made waves by winning 12 games and the NFC North.
They came to within a quarter of making the Super Bowl for the first time in their history.
The attitude and play of the former Ram in Goff has been tremendous.
He became a Pro Bowl quarterback again and has earned the trust of everyone around the organization.
In 2023, he set career-highs in completions and completion percentage, in addition to finishing fourth in the league in touchdown passes.
This is his team and his city.
Looking at it now, the trade that sent Matthew Stafford to the Rams and Goff to the Lions is as balanced as ever.
Stafford won a Super Bowl with the Rams, and Goff has turned the Lions into one of the best teams in the league.
Time will tell to see if Goff himself can do the unthinkable and bring a Super Bowl to Detroit.
