Jayhawks in Great Position With 2025 Five-Star PG Darius Acuff

Class of 2025, five-star point guard Darius Acuff cut down his list to three schools, including Kansas, Arkansas, and Michigan, per Joe Tipton.

The reigning back-to-back National Champion UCONN made Acuff’s final four programs, but Tipton reports that the Huskies are no longer in the race.

Acuff, a Michigan native, will play his senior season with IMG Academy after averaging 20.4 points and 5.5 assists per game last year, according to Yardbarker.

Rivals Basketball Recruiting Director Rob Cassidy reported that “Acuff has been trending toward landing at Arkansas since John Calipari took the reins of the program back in April.”

“Now it seems the five-star college recruitment could be in its final days, as rumblings about a possible July decision have begun,” Cassidy added. “There’s been no official word from Acuff or his camp about a decision date, but it certainly feels like things are trending in that direction.”

The five-star prospect played for Team USA’s U18 squad, taking home the FIBA Americup MVP award.

247Sports ranks Acuff as the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2025 class, including the No. 1 ranked point guard.

KU is coming off a strong 2023-24 season, finishing fifth in the Big 12 with an overall record of 23-11, before losing to Gonzaga in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
