Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics’ star forward, has reached a new plateau in his career.
He has made the All-Star team in three of the last four years, and he is now an NBA champion who was also named the MVP of the NBA Finals last month after the Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games.
He was asked what his all-time starting five is, and he gave an interesting lineup, per ClutchPoints.

There seems to be some recency bias in his list, as he named Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James.
Brown also put the late great Kobe Bryant in his all-time starting lineup, as well as another late NBA legend in Bill Russell, who defined Celtics mystique by leading the franchise to 11 world titles in the late 1950s and 1960s.
The 27-year-old got an up close and personal look at Curry two years ago when his Celtics lost the world championship to Curry’s Golden State Warriors in six games.
Curry took home the Finals MVP award, which Boston was sent home looking to figure out how to get over the hump.
Boston now has the look of, in the minds of many, a potential dynasty due to the relative youth of Brown and fellow star forward Jayson Tatum.
On the other hand, starting point guard Jrue Holiday is getting up there in age, while center Kristaps Porziņģis is notoriously injury-prone, so it isn’t exactly a foregone conclusion that the Celtics will win their 19th title any time soon.
