Cumberland County, Maine has been a pretty good incubator for the sport the last few seasons. But in 2024, the county straight-up dominated the state bracket and took home all three state championships.
Five teams — Portland Waynflete (Maine), Freeport (Maine), Falmouth (Maine), Waynflete (Maine), and Cumberland Center Greely (Maine) made it to the weekend of the finals. Those three championship games were conveniently played at Fitzpatrick Stadum in Portland — the county seat of Cumberland County.
