Former Samford forward Achor Achor has committed to Kansas State over Auburn, Louisville, and Oklahoma.

Achor helped lead Samford to an NCAA Tournament appearance before falling short to the Kansas Jayhawks in the Round of 64.

The No. 7 overall prospect in the transfer portal finished with a game-high 23 points as well as eight rebounds in the defeat.

This past season, Achor led the Bulldogs in several categories with 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. His efforts contributed to the 29-6 season the team put together as they became the 2024 Southern Conference champions.

He was very efficient from the field, shooting 58.6% from the field, 71.2% from the free-throw line, and 43.5% from three.

In a win over Western Carolina on Jan. 16, Anchor set a career-high 35 points. He scored 25 points or more in five games last season.

The First Team Southern Conference selection has two years of eligibility left.

The Wildcats finished the 2023-24 season 19-15, with an 8-10 Big 12 record, missing the NCAA Tournament.

Head Coach Jerome Tang brought in several transfers this offseason with Brendan Hausen (Villanova), Baye Fall (Arkansas), Max Jones (Cal State Fullerton), Dug McDaniel (Michigan), and CJ Jones (University of Chicago at Illinois).
