Kansas Football Adds Texas A&M OL Transfer Bryce Foster

Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added a big name through the transfer portal on Saturday with the commitment of Texas A&M offensive line transfer Bryce Foster.

With his decision to join the Jayhawks, the 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman from Katy, Texas, will become the second-ever five-star high school recruit to play for Kansas.

Foster informed JayhawkSlant of his decision to transfer to Kansas and will report to campus on Sunday, June 16th. The addition is monumental for Kansas, as Foster was listed as the top-available center in the transfer portal this spring.

Coming out of High School in the Class of 2021, Foster was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 66th-ranked player. He also checked in as the fifth-ranked player at his position and the 13th-ranked player in the state of Texas.

During his time with the Aggies, Foster started 28 total games, including all 12 from the previous season. As a freshman in 2021, the Texas native was named a Freshman All-American and a member of the SEC’s All-Freshman Team.

In addition to taking the football field for Kansas, Foster is expected to compete in track and field for the Jayhawks in the shot put event.
