LeBron James has arguably been the best player for Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics as he’s methodically dissected opposing teams.
James, despite being 39 years old, doesn’t look any worse for wear as he’s playing hard on both ends of the floor and making plays to keep Team USA ahead in games.
He was one of the key pieces in a recent win against Puerto Rico as he recorded 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds in just 18 minutes of action.
The NBA icon has already admitted that this will be his last Olympics, and he is clearly leaving it all out on the floor each and every game.
In his quest for a fourth Olympic medal, his third gold, James and Team USA will now face some stiff competition.
One of the teams threatening his goal is the host country of France, though James claimed he wasn’t impressed with their recent performance against Germany.
“I wasn’t very impressed with their last game. I didn’t think they were ready for the physicality of Germany. Other than that, they were playing some good ball,” James said, via Ben Golliver of The Washington Post.
LeBron James said USA Basketball needs to be ready for Canada, Germany & others in knockout round.

France had been playing solid basketball during the tournament but ran into trouble against Germany, which routed them to win their group.
Germany also gave Team USA trouble in an exhibition game, though the U.S. team eventually won out, thanks to some clutch plays from James.
With the knockout rounds on the horizon, Team USA and James will need to be at the top of their game in order to bring back the gold.
