Missouri HC Eli Drinkwitz Announces Key Player Has ‘STI’

While it’s definitely not the first time Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz has put his foot in his mouth, on Tuesday at SEC Media Days, Tigers’ head coach did it again.

When discussing rising sophomore offensive lineman Cayden Green, Drinkwitz used an acronym that raised some eyebrows.

For those unfamiliar with the term STI, evidently including Eli Drinkwitz, the acronym stands for a sexually transmitted infection. STIs are often caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites and are spread through sexual contact.

In Drinkwitz’s case, however, STI stands for size, toughness, and instincts, which the sophomore offensive lineman appears to have a lot of. Coming out of Lee’s Summit North in the Class of 2023, the former Oklahoma Sooner was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 93rd-ranked player. He also checked in as the 10th-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of Missouri.

Green elected to transfer to Missouri after his freshman season in Norman and became a massive name on the portal. The Missouri native checked in as the 11th-ranked player in the portal and the second-ranked player at his position.

While Eli Drinkwitz has quickly become a personality that college football fans worldwide have an affinity to mock, the man can recruit, for better or worse.
