On Thursday night, hockey supremacy between the United States and Canada will be determined once again.

The two countries are set to meet at 8 p.m. ET at TD Garden in Boston in the final of the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, a round-robin tournament featuring all-stars from the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland, which replaced the NHL All-Star Game.

Despite both teams taking a loss during round-robin play, they finished in the top two positions and will now compete for the tournament championship.

Thursday night’s game is highly anticipated and, according to BetMGM, it’s expected to be the most-bet hockey game this year. Already, four of the six most bet games have come from the 4 Nations tournament.

With a lot of action on the final matchup, here are the seven most popular bets as of Thursday afternoon.

First thing first: The betting public is high on Team USA’s chances to win the game. When it comes to the moneyline, 57% of all bets and 52% of the money is on America, while the U.S. dominates bets against the spread even more.

Team USA (-1.5), currently holds 69% of bets and 66% of the money, according to BetMGM.

Fans expect a high-scoring contest, especially in the opening period. The most wagered prop bet ahead of the game is that the first period will see over 1.5 goals, despite the odds sitting at -102.

The veteran star maybe 37 years old, but he’s been one of the most impactful players in the entire tournament so far. He leads the field with five points scored in three games, tying Team USA’s Zach Werenski.

+425 odds are pretty low, and it makes sense why the public is all over this potentially high-value bet.

McDavid has slightly better odds than Crosby to turn in a 2+ point performance on Thursday night despite having four points through three games so far. Still, it’s easy to see why bettors are high on the best player in the world having a big night.

Fans clearly expect a fairly action-packed, high-scoring game on Thursday night. In addition to predicting at least two goals during the first period, they seem to think the first one will come early in the game with a goal in the first nine minutes being the fourth-most popular prop bet ahead of matchup.

In addition to expecting a goal-heavy championship game, fans also seem to think one of the two teams will be in desperation mode in the final minutes and will give up an empty net goal. Team USA scored an empty net goal in its 3-1 win over Canada during round-robin play.

The pair of stars for Team Canada should be in line for a big game, and both McDavid and MacKinnon are the two most popular bets when it comes to both anytime goalscorers and the game’s first goalscorer.

McDavid, who is +210 and +1300 respectively, leads the way in bets for both categories but is followed by MacKinnon (+200, +1300), who has three points on three goals during the 4 Nations Face-Off. McKinnon actually has better odds as an anytime goal scorer as he has more goals than McDavid, who has scored twice in the tournament.
