Multiple Big 12 Schools in the Mix for 2025 Five-Star Guard Destiny Jackson

Class of 2025 five-star guard Destiny Jackson announced her top five schools via X on Thursday.

Her top five included West Virginia, North Carolina, Arizona, Baylor, and Illinois, while ESPN ranked her the 24th-ranked prospect in the 2025 cycle.

Listed at 5-foot-6, the Chicago, Illinois native attends Whitney Young High School.

Jackson is a versatile player who can impact the game at either the point guard or shooting guard position.

Head coach Mark Kellogg led the West Virginia Mountaineers to the second round of the NCAA Tournament during his first year in Morgantown.

West Virginia was led by all-league guard JJ Quinerly, who averaged 19.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.9 steals per game last season. She also ranked 25th in the nation in scoring.

Meanwhile, the Baylor Bears were one of the best teams in the country in 2023-24, finishing 26-8. Arizona, the other Big 12 program that Jackson is considering, put together an overall record of 18-16.

Despite barely finishing above .500, the team managed to pick up statement wins over No. 15 Utah and No. 3 Stanford. After playing in the Pac-12 conference, the Wildcats will compete in the Big 12 starting this upcoming season.
