How’s your NASCAR Betting for this weekend? We had two dark horses win in two races as Chase Briscoe paid off on +6500 odds to win a week after Harrison Burton came out of nowhere to pull off a stunner.
Briscoe rolled to victory at the Cook Out Southern 500, ending a drought of 73 winless races for Stewart-Haas Racing and swiping the victory away from Kyle Larson, who led 263 of the 367 laps in the race.
Larson won the first two stages but ended up settling for fourth, ceding the regular-season NASCAR Cup Series title to Tyler Reddick by just one point.
Briscoe’s win dumped Crhis Buescher from the playoffs; Buescher came in sixth in the race but found himself behind Martin Truex Jr and Ty Gibbs for the last playoff slot.
This week, the Round of 16 begins in the Cup Series playoffs with the Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The race is Sunday at 3:00 pm Eastern time. The race will air on USA with the radio call on PRN and SiriusXM.
We have the sports betting odds for each driver to win as well as our wager card suggestions.
NASCAR Betting Odds & Analysis for Cup Series: Quaker State 400 Preview
- Ryan Blaney +1000
- Kyle Busch +1000
- Joey Logano +1000
- Kyle Larson +1000
- Brad Keselowski +1200
- Chase Elliott +1200
- William Byron +1200
- Michael McDowell +1400
- Denny Hamlin +1400
- Daniel Suarez +1400
Ross Chastain
Chastain finished second in both Atlanta races last year. At the Quaker State 400, he led 32 laps before finishing behind Chase Elliott. In the spring Atlanta race this year, he came in 13th. However, he’s looking for his second win in three races after his victory in Nashville last month.
Ryan Blaney
Blaney has one career victory in Atlanta, back in 2021. The track has been reconfigured at Atlanta, but that hasn’t slowed Blaney much as he has four top-seven finishes on the new layout since then, including a fifth-place finish at last year’s Quaker State 400.
Daniel Suarez
Suarez has four finishes in the top six since Atlanta was reconfigured. Drafting is different here, and setups make a difference. Suarez seems to have figured things out, so he could sneak away with the win.
William Byron
Byron has two wins at Atlanta – but he has also DNFed here twice since the reconfiguration. Will playoff positioning affect his strategy?
Denny Hamlin
Hamlin hasn’t done well at all at Atlanta, with just one top-ten finish and an average finish of 19.4 since the reconfiguration. He does have Hall of Fame numbers on plate tracks, so eventually those skills should pay off.
Chase Elliott
Elliott has one career win at his hometown track. Will his strategy be for points or to go get the win in front of local fans?
NASCAR Betting Kyle Busch
Busch is out of the playoffs, so expect him to drive like he has nothing to lose. He still needs a win to extend his season streak with a victory to 20. He has three straight top-ten finishes on this track.
NASCAR Betting Bubba Wallace
Wallace is also out of the playoffs, and the emotional pain will motivate him to run for the win. Kyle Larson has four DNFs in five races, which means it’s about time for his luck to turn around. Joey Logano won this race a year ago, and Team Penske always runs fast here. Ricky Stenhouse Jr is another driver who is not in the playoffs who will have the hammer down for the win.
