Nick Kyrgios confirmed in his latest fitness update that he is doing well physically and also in the process urged “unqualified people with zero achievements” to keep their mouths silent and refrain from giving him advice on what to do and what to avoid.
Kyrgios, who turned 29 last month, has been basically sidelined for the past year and a half since he has appeared in just one tournament and one match since the start of 2023.Â
After undergoing knee surgery in 2023 January and returning last June in Stuttgart, Kyrgios sustained a wrist injury – which led to another surgery. But this time, Kyrgios has been taking his time and being careful not to rush his comeback.Â
“How’s the physique looking right now?” a fan asked Kyrgios on Instagram.Â
Answering the question, Kyrgios confirmed he was doing well in that aspect and also threw some shade at a certain group of people.
“Good bro! All these unqualified people with zero achievements and skill online giving their 2 sense on social media about gym and how to live are really inspiring me,” Kyrgios answered.
When could we see Kyrgios back in action?
In March, Kyrgios returned to the practice court for the first time in months. After Kyrgios started practicing again in March, the general belief was that the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up was aiming to be ready for the grass season.Â
With the grass season around the corner, Kyrgios hasn’t yet signed up for any grass tournaments or confirmed that he is planning on playing during the grass swing.Â
However, if Kyrgios’ return doesn’t come during the grass season, he will most certainly then turn his focus on being ready for the summer on hard courts and the US Open.Â
Before going down with two serious injuries, Kyrgios was playing the tennis of his life and aiming for a maiden Grand Slam and other notable accomplishments.Â
