Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

Oklahoma State star running backĀ Ollie GordonĀ is out of jail after being arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI.

Per News9 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Gordon was pulled over on Interstate 35 south of Oklahoma City after a trooper says Gordon was going 82 in a 65 and swerving through traffic. A probable cause affidavit says the trooper who pulled Gordon over spotted a half-full bottle of vodka and a half-full bottle of tequila.

OHP says Gordon had a blood alcohol content of .11 and .10 when he was tested at jail. The legal limit in the state of Oklahoma is .08.

As of Monday evening, Oklahoma State had not released a statement on Gordonā€™s arrest.

Gordon became a college football star in 2023, when he won the Doak Walker Award for the nationā€™s top running back. He considered going to the NFL Draft, but elected to return to Stillwater for the 2024 season. The sophomore capped off 2023 with his ninth 100-yard performance of the season, with 118 yards and a touchdown in theĀ Cowboysā€™ 31-23 victory over Texas A&MĀ in the Texas Bowl.

Ollie Gordon was named a unanimous All-American, the Doak Walker Award winner and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year after running for 1,732 yards and 21 TDs in the season. He had more than 250 scrimmage yards against Kansas, West Virginia and Cincinnati, the only FBS player in the past 10 years to do so in three straight games.

Despite an early-season loss to South Alabama, Gordon helped the Cowboys finish with a 10-4 record, placing them No. 16 in the country at the end of the season.
