Once again, Team USA barely eeked out a victory in an Olympic exhibition game and, once again, LeBron James was a huge part of their win.
It is clear that James is a major help for the Americans and might be their best player.
Speaking on Tuesday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce spoke about James’ recent performances in these exhibition games and said he’s not a bit surprised.
“When you talk about a GOAT amongst GOATs on the team, he’s supposed to be doing this,” Pierce said.

Even at his age, James should still be the most powerful and consequential player on the team, according to Pierce.
But is Team USA relying on James too much and is this a troubling sign for the weeks ahead?
Pierce suggested that things are going to be tough for the Americans in the Olympics.
Their close wins are a sign of things to come, he predicted, with multiple international teams playing great basketball.
Their latest near-loss came at the hands of Germany, who the Americans beat by just four points, thanks to James.
There is a lot of great talent on the team, including Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and others.
Despite that, Team USA has kept things uncomfortably close in the last two games.
Thankfully for them, James has come through and performed fantastic clutch basketball and helped them win.
With the Olympics beginning in just a few days, American fans are both thankful and nervous.
They are thankful that James is still playing so well but nervous that the games are going to be much tighter than they expected.
