Premier League acca: A 12/1 four-fold for Saturday’s games

Our tips for Saturday’s top flight matches include wins for both Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Saturday Premier League Acca

It is another bumper Saturday in the Premier League, with no fewer than eight games for punters to get stuck into.

The action gets underway with a lunchtime kickoff between London rivals West Ham and Chelsea before six 3pm fixtures, headlined by Aston Villa at home to Wolves and Liverpool entertaining Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, a 5.30pm showdown between Crystal Palace and Manchester United from Selhurst Park brings the curtain down on the day’s play and we have picked out a 12/1 accumulator to enjoy the action.

Selections

Aston Villa v Wolves – Aston Villa to win & both teams to score @ 2/1

Fulham v Newcastle – Fulham or draw double chance @ 4/7

Tottenham v Brentford – Both teams to score @ 11/20

Liverpool v Bournemouth – Liverpool -1 goal on handicap @ 3/4

Villa to edge entertaining West Midlands derby

Aston Villa have won three of their first four games in this season’s Premier League and they should be confident of building on that at home to toiling West Midlands rivals Wolves, who have taken only one point from their four outings.

That said, Wolves have scored in their last three league encounters with Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle and they can grab a consolation strike against Villa, who have conceded in all four league fixtures this term.

Villa conceded in wins over West Ham, Leicester and Everton and they have recorded only two clean sheets in their last 19 league games.

Fulham can frustrate overachieving Magpies

Newcastle remain unbeaten after four matches in the Premier League, having taken 10 points, but there is a strong sense that they have been punching above their weight.

In their 1-0 win at home to Southampton in their opening assignment, ten-man Newcastle scored with their only shot on target, while Bournemouth had a stoppage-time winner controversially disallowed in a 1-1 draw with the Magpies.

Newcastle lost the shot count 20-9 in their 2-1 victory over Tottenham while they needed two late goals to come from behind in their latest 2-1 win at Wolves, suggesting that their luck could soon run out.

Fulham are unbeaten in three league games since losing 1-0 at Manchester United on the opening night of the season and they have lost only five of their last 16 home matches, so they can frustrate the Magpies.

Goals to flow at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

This fixture has thrown up plenty of goals in recent seasons, with both teams scoring in the last four Premier League rivalries and each encounter featuring at least four goals.

Tottenham’s gung-ho approach under Ange Postecoglou means another lively encounter can be expected and the pressure will be on them to respond to back-to-back defeats against Newcastle and Arsenal.

Spurs are creating plenty of chances but they still remain suspect defensively and both teams have scored in five of Brentford’s last six league games, which includes away at Manchester City last time out.

Reds can hit back by crushing Cherries

Liverpool won their opening three league games before being stunned in a 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend, but they can hit back at home to Bournemouth.

The Reds were 3-1 winners at AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday and they should be at least two goals too good for Bournemouth, who have won only one of their opening four league matches.

The Cherries suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea last weekend and they have a poor record away at the Premier League’s elite, having lost by two or more goals on each of their trips to last season’s top five.
