Nottingham Forest v Brighton (12:30)
Nottingham Forest were given a rude awakening at Bournemouth last Saturday, suffering a 5-0 thrashing at the Vitality Stadium, and it remains to be seen whether that humbling will have a lasting effect on the Tricky Trees.
Forest have overachieved this season and are third in the table, but that lofty perch should come under great threat in the weeks to come. Brighton have gone six games unbeaten on the road, winning their last three away matches, and the Seagulls will fancy their chances of claiming three points at the City Ground.
Bournemouth v Liverpool (15:00)
A trip to the Vitality Stadium is a challenging one for Premier League pacesetters Liverpool, who suffered a 3-2 Champions League defeat at PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday.
Liverpool will go to Bournemouth six points clear in the table, while Bournemouth are just outside the European places and enjoying the greatest campaign in their history. A ding-dong contest can be anticipated, with both sides attacking, and four or more goals in the game seems likely.
Everton v Leicester (15:00)
David Moyes has been welcomed back to Goodison Park by Everton fans and the Scot has delivered an immediate improvement.
Victories over Tottenham and Brighton have eased Everton away from the relegation zone and confidence is suddenly high in the blue half of Liverpool. Expect the euphoria of Moyes’ second stint as Everton chief to continue with three points against leaky Leicester, who have already conceded 49 league goals this season.
Wolves v Aston Villa (17:30)
Aston Villa had a Wednesday-night Champions League meeting with Celtic, so may be drained for their trip to Wolves on Saturday evening. Villa have had a hectic schedule and their relatively small squad has been creaking.
If Villa arrive for this Midlands derby lacking sparkle, a low-scoring match could be in the offing. Emi Buendia has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan and Jhon Duran looks set to depart Villa Park imminently, leaving Unai Emery’s team lacking a variety of offensive options.
