Although it isn’t as intense as it was last summer, the hype surrounding the New York Jets is starting to build with less than four months to go before the start of the 2024 NFL season.
This week, schedules for all 32 teams were released, and the Jets will have six games that will take place in primetime.
Star cornerback Sauce Gardner is looking forward to that type of exposure because of the high expectations he says he and his teammates have for themselves, per Paul Andrew Esden Jr.
It sounds like #Jets CB @iamSauceGardner wants ALL THE SMOKE in 2024 with 6 prime time games on the schedule.
‘It’s great to be able to have those prime time games. A lot of people are expecting a lot out of us, we expect a lot out of ourselves.’

New York will open the season on Monday Night Football when it takes on the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.
In Week 3, the Jets will host the New England Patriots and their new quarterback, Drake Maye, on a Thursday before hosting Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
The very next week, they will travel west to play the Pittsburgh Steelers in primetime, and their two remaining primetime games will be in Week 9 versus the loaded Houston Texans and Week 11 against the Indianapolis Colts.
This all means that the Jets’ success, or lack thereof, will be front and center across the league this fall.
Some feel they could very well not only win the AFC East but be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, as their defense looks strong and their offense now boasts a legitimate No. 2 wide receiver in Mike Williams.
But there are others who think New York will be nothing more than a tease and that something will go wrong for them again.
