SMU landed a big body two weeks ago in Tyron Winslow, a 6-foot-4, 275-pounder from Bourgeois High School way down south in Gray, La. Winslow looks like a good fit for SMU’s odd front, which will likely continue to prioritize size in the defensive trenches with the move to the ACC. Winslow probably will reach 300 pounds with relative ease at the next level. He’s strong at the point of attack and more functionally athletic in pads than you might expect. Winslow, who debuted this week with a strong three-star 86 rating on 247Sports, is still honing his technique, foot quickness, and pad level consistency, but possesses physical traits and flashes on tape that make him a quality fit with the Mustangs. — Brooks
