Steph Curry and LeBron James have had some iconic moments during their NBA careers and have often battled each other.
But they have also remained very good friends, despite their on-court rivalry.
Speaking on his “Heat Check” podcast, via @WardellCurry30 on Twitter, Curry spoke about a friendly moment he had during his rookie season.
James, who had already been in the league for a few years, invited Curry over to his house the night before the Golden State Warriors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry hopped in a taxi and headed to James’ place, spending a few hours with the man who would later fight against him multiple times in the NBA Finals.
On his new Heat Check podcast, Steph reveals that LeBron invited him to his house the night before his first rookie game vs the Cavs to hang out!

This is a prime example of the friendship that Curry and James were crafting.
It didn’t matter that they were on opposing teams, they had a lot in common and were growing close.
Since that night so many years ago, Curry and James have gone toe-to-toe many times and have both been considered two of the best players in NBA history.
Today, the debate over who is better continues to rage.
Some people feel it’s James and others think Curry has done more during his time in the league.
When it comes to championships, both of them have four, which means there isn’t a clear winner.
Now, Curry and James are inching closer to retirement, which means that they are almost done leading the league.
But even after they retire, they will likely remain very close and will spend time together, even though they have technically been on-court opponents for nearly two decades.
