Tabilo Claims Mallorca Title

Chilean upstart Alejandro Tabilo claimed the second title of his career on Saturday in Mallorca, Spain, defeating Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-4.

Needing one hour and 15 minutes to prevail, Tabilo used his lefty serve to strike five aces, win 86 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on two occasions.

Improving to 24-12 on the year, Tabilo will be ranked a career high of No. 19 on Monday.

Ofner, who was taking part in his first-ever final, defeated Paul Jubb in the semifinals. The Austrian will improve his ranking to No. 45 in the world on Monday.

Tabilo won the title in Auckland, New Zealand to begin the year, reached the finals in Santiago, Chile and the finals of the Masters 1000 event in Rome, Italy.

He also captured the Challenger level event in Aix-en-Provence, France.

Kasatkina Wins Eastbourne Crown

Russian Daria Kasatkina won the 500 level event in Eastbourne, Great Britain on Saturday, dispatching Canadian Leylah Annie Fernandez 6-3, 6-4.

Claiming her crown in one hour and 50 minutes, Kasatkina struck five aces, won 63 percent of her first serve points and broke serve on five occasions.

Winning her ninth career title, Kasatkina will move up to No. 12 in the world when the latest rankings are released.

Fernandez, who was aiming to win her fourth career title, defeated defending champion Madison Keys in the semifinals.

The 21-year-old will move up five places in the rankings to No. 25 on Monday.

With the grass-court season preparation complete, all eyes will now centre around the Wimbledon Championships, which begin on Monday in London, England.
