One of the most notable Day 1 Cheltenham Festival winners from the last 10 years is Douvan, who triumphed in the 2016 Arkle Novices’ Chase. Trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Ruby Walsh, Douvan powered down the racecourse with ease, winning by seven lengths.

Thinking about all of the Day 4 Cheltenham Festival winners from the last 10 years, we simply have to highlight the outstanding performance of Al Boum Photo. Trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Paul Townend, Al Boum Photo took home the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2019. This was a double celebration, as it was the horse’s first win at Cheltenham Festival and also Willie Mullins’ first Gold Cup success.
