Four-star Class of 2025 prospect John Clark has narrowed down his list of schools to six, including Kansas and Houston, per Joe Tipton.
Clark is also considering Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Texas A&M, in addition to those Big 12 programs.
On3 ranks the 6-foot-9 power forward as the No. 45 overall prospect in his class and the 11th-best player at his position.
The rising senior will play his final season of high school basketball for Link Academy in Missouri, and Tipton reports he will be taking official visits to Texas A&M, Houston, and Texas starting in late August.
In regards to his relationship with the Houston Cougars, Clark told On3’s Jamie Shaw, “I like the way they developed their bigs. They developed Jarace Walker in one year to be a lottery pick, so their development and their coaching for sure stick out.”
“A lot of their bigs are all-around players,” Clark mentioned, “I feel like I fit in with that system with my versatility.”
The Cougars are coming off an impressive 32-5 campaign in 2023-24, during which they made it to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to the Duke Blue Devils. Star point guard Jamal Shead was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors.
