Tyrese Haliburton Teams Up with Logan Paul at WWE SmackDown

On Friday, former Iowa State Cyclone Tyrese Haliburton joined WWE star/social media influencer Logan Paul in the ring at WWE SmackDown.

Haliburton walked to the ring with Paul, and on his way to the stage, the Wisconsin native had a stare-down with New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

Brunson later made his way from the stands to the ring, bringing a steel chair into the conversation as well.

While Haliburton and Brunson may not be known for their wrestling skills by the masses, their ability on the basketball court has quickly captivated NBA fans worldwide. The Pacers and the Knicks are both entering large championship windows thanks to bright young stars like the pair clashing at SmackDown.

After making a name for himself as a member of the Iowa State Cyclones, Haliburton has continued his path into the spotlight at the professional level. The Wisconsin native was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and quickly became a household name.

Haliburton will have a chance to follow up on his stellar numbers from the previous season (20.1/10.9/3.9) when the NBA season tips off in October.
