On Saturday, a wild situation involving UCF‘s Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees unfolded, resulting in the arrest of three people.
UCF Vice Chair Harold Mills was arrested in an undercover operation at Sandlando Park alongside two others for connection to prostitution.
According to a report from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, “This operation was about repeated issues regarding people exposing their sexual organs and conducting lewd and indecent acts at the park.”
The sting operation was conducted through an app called “Sniffles,” which is listed as a “map-based hookup web app for gay, bisexual, and bicurious men.” Undercover agents posed as potential marks, messaged the suspects, and arranged for a meetup to provide sexual favors.
Deputies mentioned that Mills exposed his genitals to one of the undercover agents, which led to the arrest. After asking the agents for sexual favors, Mills was arrested while claiming that he was “Clearing his mind” by visiting the park.
Mills’ attorney, Mark NeJame, spoke on the situation, saying, “These misdemeanor allegations are being investigated independently by me and my team, and as most know, facts as they unfold are often markedly different than what is initially reported. However, none of this should overshadow the immense contributions that Harold has made to the underprivileged, the arts, business, and his countless employees over the years.”
Mills is now facing charges of indecent exposure and agreeing to secure a prostitute. He is held on bond of $1,250, according to reports.
