According to PPF College, Utah’s Andy Ludwig is the third-highest paid offensive coordinator in all of college football at $1.8 million.
Ludwig only trails Notre Dame’s Mike Dendrock and Ohio State’s Chip Kelly. He is entering his sixth season with the Utes and had stints with different coaching positions at Vanderbilt (2015-18), Wisconsin (2013-14), San Diego State (2011-12), and California (2009-10).
He had a previous run with Utah from 2005-08, where he was apart of the 2008 Sugar Bowl Victory over Alabama.
Utah has had one of the most consistent offenses in the nation during his tenure, having only six games with less than 300 total yards on offense since 2019, according to the program’s website.
Behind Ludwig, trails Clemson’s Garrett Riley ($1.7 million), Ole Miss’ Charlies Wise Jr. ($1.6 million), Penn State’s Andy Kotelnicki ($1.6 million), Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino ($1.5 million), Missouri’s Kirby Moore ($1.5 million), Georgia’s Mike Bobo ($1.4 million), and Nebraska’s Marcus Satterfield ($1.4 million).
The Utes are set to start their first season competing in the Big 12 with its season opener coming against Southern Utah, on Thursday, August 29th.
